Yeah yeah I know it's early. Just some info about this years parade. Sunday, December 12. I had given a suggestion to them so I think the theme is going to center around a tribute to the troops and troops who can't be home for the holidays. My jeep this year might be an up-armored hummv from the motor pool. Very Happy

Hope we can get more than 5 jeeps this year, more fun with more folks.

Looks like this years theme is going to be A Patriotic Christmas, Saluting our Troops Overseas They are also working on a deal to get the video tape they make available to send to the local troops overseas.

If for some reason something I am expecting to happen happens, can someone take over arranging our entry? I may be one of those watching the video tape. I told them I would get them a good contact if I'm not available to prepare or entry.

Im in the process of making changes to my YJ to make it look a bit better, so Im sure it will be good enough to join the Parade. I have not done a parade in many years and have done them with the High School band, National Guard (drove a Hummvee) and with WEZL radio station (yes I was Willy the Weasel)

As for making arrangments Im not sure Im the best to deal with it but if nobody else steps up I will give it a shot.

Received the parade entry packet today, they are trying to get a head start. I hope we can get at least 10 jeeps using two entries or even hope for 15 using 3 entries. Looks like we have 148 registered users now. This year's theme is "A Patriotic Christmas: A Salute to Our Troops Overseas." (my idea) Thumbsup

Each entry is $50.00 at 5 jeeps per. Deadline for entry id Dec 1, 2010. Once I start getting replies who would like to ride, I'll make a new thread and get Ron or Elaine to make it a sticky. Parade is Sunday, Dec 12 at 2pm.

Okay, so the first roster. To be safe, we should probably get together by the weekend before Thanksgiving. Say Nov 20. We can have 5 jeeps per entry so it is $10.00 per jeep. My daughter shipes out soon before that so I'll be thinking of her with this parade. Still may be gone by then myself but still no word. How about we shoot for a solid roster by Veterans Day?

Im thinking Mike will want to join in, I will check with him and see if he is game to do it. I would love to see a big gathering of at least 15 Jeeps for the Parade.
