Take this link its to Yahoo maps and it will give you an idea of where it is. Its in Bonneau Beach just outside Moncks Corner.

http://maps.yahoo.com/#mvt=m&lat=33.330786&lon=-79.988647&zoom=17&q1=148%20albacore%20road%2C%20bonneau

Got to love yahoo maps. you can take that link then put your address in Block B and get good directions there. Its at my Brothers house sitting on a concrete pad but there is little shade, but I will get plenty of bottled water if needed.

I really appreciate anyone that comes to help, All that will be involved is for me to put my new connecting rod and piston back in the block, put my pushrods back in (they are numbered) bolt and torque down the cyl head, put the intake and exhaust manifolds back on, bolt up the replacment oil pan, use my new engine hoist to lift the engine into place and bolt it back up. I will try to move the Trans a bit more so the top 3 bolts go in easier after bolting up the flywheel.

From there just bolt all my stuff like radiator, putting distributor cap back on (plug wires labeled) bolt up the A/C compressor and power steering pump, hook the wires back up and bolt my drive shaft back on and refill my fluids. Crank it up and let it idle for a while and I can start scraping the 450 pounds of mud out the interior and cleaning up tools.

I will be working saturday and sunday as needed and hope to be done and drive it home and to work on monday.

My number is 300-8287 and will try to update it in my signature again.

Got the engine together now, will have to pull the oil pan back off and re torque the rod cap but will need a smaller torque wrench if anyone has one that can come by Sundy to let me use for a few minutes. Need to retorque the cylnder head, put the engine back in and bolt it back up to the trans and torque converter. Plug up all the electrical and fuel lines, fill the oil and water after putting the radiator back in. Chase down any other plugs and what not and see if she will crank.

Its now just a case of last minute redoing the torque, drop it in and bolt everything up. Will need to go back in later and put a new motor mount and o2 sensor. But Im on the downhill slide of getting it back in.

I need to borrow someones smaller torque wrench so I can torque the rod cap and cylender head. Call or text me if anyone can help with that.

Engine is sitting in the Jeep, still got lots to do for next weekend.

Finish bolting up trans and flywheel, attatch engine mounts, replace oil filter and refill oil, install radiator and fill, put on alternator, starter, AC, power steering, fuel lines, injector plugs, and so on lol.

Will be a full days work or 2 depending on the heat.

Engine is in, still have a few things left if anyone is up for helping early in the morning.

Have to put the 4 bolts from the flywheel to the torque converter, which may include pulling the oil pan and drive shaft to make it easier. Then install the shift linkage, and replace my oil pressure sending unit. From there I can install the radiator, and hoses. Put the fan blade and shroud back on, then start filling fluids. With help could be rolling in 2-3 hours and solo will take half a day or more.

If all is good I should be cranking the Jeep or trying to at least around noon to 1pm.

Engine is back in, still have a few little things like the flywheel inspection plate to install. However the issue now is figuring why it will not start. Compression is good, Not sure if Im getting spark or if Im getting fuel pressure. Everything seems to be hooked up electrical, vacume, plumbing and mechanically. All fuses were tested and checked ok. Checked relay for fuel pump and its fine, still dont know whats up.

I installed a new starter since the other one was locked in the open position. Putting the battery on caused it to try and start. I am not sure how to properly test spark, and can push the fuel pressure release valve to see if it has pressure but have none to speak of yet. I dont hear the fuel pump click on nor does it sound like its empy of gas (full tank of fuel)

If anyone is available today that thinks they can help get it to crank I would be most thankfull and even buy some ice cream Thumbsup

Pull a spark plug from the motor and hook it back to the plug wire, lay it on the block so it is grounded and turn the motor over. You should have a bright blue spark from the plug if yes you have fire if no well...and as for fuel get some throttle body cleaner or carb cleaner and spray it in the throttle body while cranking this should fire the motor off if you are not getting fuel but have spark.

No spark no fuel pressure. A ground wasnt attatche causing a short that seems to have fried my ECM so im going to have the jeep towed take out a loan and get it done. I will be shopping for a SBC and an older 4x4 700r4 trans. With the jeep running im gunna farm up the parts and do a v8 swap and start building a respectable trail rig.

Crank position sensor was bad and replaced. Problem still persists. Got mechanic troubleshooting the computer and if its what im thinking then the comp is bad. Good side of it is that the most often prob can be fixed by replacing 3 capacitors which beats $240 for a new computer.
