This is a thread for my Father. He wanted to see some pictures of his Jeep during the build. I think he is just trying to keep tabs on me so I stay on task and don't goof off too much.

He has nicknamed it the Texas Toad after the Great Horned Toad of Texas.

I think mainly because so far it has been motionless and as such doesn't move much like the Horned Toad. Smile

Found in a Field

The Floors

Needed Frame Repairs

Initial Body Paint Test

Yes it will be GREEN

Body Repair - Notice the Jeep Emblem is spared. I found out on replacement tubs the Jeep stamp is several inches higher than on the original tubs.

Rust under Bondo

Frame Repair

Body Repair - Cut out rust spots and holes, it looks like patch work but I was attempting to save the crossmembers, seat bolt holes and strength veins.

Corner Rust

Floor Repair

Back on the Frame - It looks bent but it is just an optical illusion from not holding the camera correctly.

New Floors

New Replaced Corners

New Repaired Sides

More Pictures

The Big Man at work

Wetsanding the corner

A new Dash. Notice we cut the holes for the Tachometer and Rally Clock. You won't find a dash that is pre cut with Stereo, Speaker holes, all guages, glovebox, tach, and clock anywhere for sale. The closest I have ever come is a dash with one speaker hole, gages, tach, and clock.

Tailgate was good just needs new paint

Not bad for a couple of hacks

Thanks Shane. We are not there yet. I have to do more sanding than I know, and figure out a way to paint without getting dust on the paint. Then it is on to the motor.

It is alot of work but I know it will be worth it. Thumbsup

Passenger side is done. Now I just have to sand it down and paint.

This thing is starting to look more like "The Hulk" than a toad. Razz
